Yes,let’s get decide about the stadium – it’s taken much too long. But, I have to disagree about the Diamond neighborhood. Yes, Buzz and Ned’s is great and the new movieland theater is a wonderful addition. A new ballpark, another restaurant or two, and it would be a great place. The easy access is so important. Personally, if you’re going to build a new ball park find a place south of the river. The view from Southside across the Lee bridge is the best view of the city!

I would like to point out that “Bottom Beaver” would be the most innuendo-heavy mascot in the entirety of MiLB.

I now insist that any plans for baseball in Shockoe include provisions for buying a Bottom Beaver costume and paying someone to wear the thing. He could work the field, and then head to Club Velvet after the game’s out.
