   every time i drive past these poor bastards, i felt terrible for them. its the most thankless job in all of existence.

   Firstly, these people are working. They’re out there in the snow, in the cold, and they are earning an honest dollar. Which makes them fine folks in my book.
   So what, if the job is not your cup of tea. I enjoy wavers. They cheer me up when I see them. They do their work with little or no thanks, but, you can bet that company would not be paying people if what they do was not effective.
