Richmond resident and weekend partygoer Sam Ashmun is expected announce later today his contribution of “a bag” of chip
s to this weekend’s homecoming tailgate, sources said.
“I know that Benson [Alexander] is bringing all the meats, the grill, and the plates and napkins, so I’m sure we’ll need some chips,” the 25-year-old said, noting he is still undecided on whether to purchase the “scoop”-shaped, regular-sized, or lime-flavored Tostitos for Saturday’s homecoming game at Randolph-Macon College. “I really like the lime, but I’m not sure everyone does. I may just get, like, regular and barbecue flavored potato chips instead of corn tortilla chips, just to mix it up a bit.”
Added Ashmun: “Hopefully someone will make some of that layered bean and cheese dip.”
As of press time, Ashmun said he was still trying to find a ride to the tailgate – “perhaps with Benson [Alexander]” – so that he wouldn’t have to bother himself with figuring out a ride later in the evening.
