Despite the nationwide remembrance of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks today, Chesterfield County newborn Alena DeSanto did not so much as lift a finger to pay her respects to the victims, nor did the the four-month-old even think of doing so, sources said.

“While the events of that awful day now seven years ago are still seared into our minds, and we remember those who died, it was as though [the baby] didn’t even understand what had happened, has written it off as no big deal, or simply does not care,” said Judy Oliver, who attended a county remembrance ceremony this morning and witnessed the infant “screaming bloody murder” during a four-minute-long moment of silence.

The incessant crying nearly forced the baby’s mother to have to leave the service after failing to console the unappreciative child, onlookers said.

As flags were lowered to half staff, the infant continued to loudly suck on what her mother called a “Pop Pop,” and appeared unapologetic for showing no sadness or acknowledgement of the worst terrorist attack ever carried out on American soil.  Military officers then fired off 21-gun salute, causing the horrible, horrible tiny human being – if one can even call her that – to scream even louder than before.

“We will never forget,” Oliver said, looking with disgust at the child, who sickeningly decided to go to sleep just halfway through the ceremony.  “But it’s as though she doesn’t even remember.”

I swear, some people…..I’m scared for the future of this country because of people like Alena.

I feel for the child’s parents. The horror they must endure. There should be a support group for them.
